Calling all Alliances with Engineering Majors - STEM Education Researchers need your perspective!

My name is Julia Brisbane, and I am a PhD Candidate in Engineering Education at Virginia Tech looking to recruit participants for my research study. For my dissertation, I want to examine Black engineering students’ experiences in undergraduate research experiences, specifically looking at their experiences with epistemic exclusion. If you would like to know more details about my dissertation, I have attached a short document summarizing my research. Our goal is to have LSAMP alliances in each state to distribute my survey to participants from the 2022-2023 academic year. IRB approval will not be needed on their end since they will just be distributing the survey. At the completion of the survey, I will select 6 participants to interview about their experiences in REUs sponsored by LSAMP. Attached to this email is an overview of my study design.
