LSAMP PIs/PDs Invitation to the 2023 SREB Teaching and Mentoring (Institute)

The Southern Regional Education Board (SREB) Doctoral Scholars Program (DSP) will be sponsoring the Institute on Teaching and Mentoring (Institute), October 26 -29, 2023, at the Marriott Tampa Water Street Hotel, Tampa, Florida. We are extending an invitation to the LSAMP PIs to attend the Institute and/or support LSAMP scholars’ attendance to the Institute. The Institute is an established gathering of diverse doctoral students with more than 60 different workshops and plenary sessions focused on topics to supplement individuals’ development as scholars including sessions such as: Negotiating your first faculty position, Tips on writing your dissertation, Describing your research in 5 minutes or less, Notes from a Faculty Search Committee Chair, and What can I do to Contribute to a good Mentoring Relationship with my Faculty Mentor.
