PhD position in oceanography available at Texas A&M University starting Fall 2022

Dr. Henry Potter, Assistant Professor in the Department of Oceanography at Texas A&M University, is recruiting a student to pursue a PhD in oceanography starting fall 2022. The successful candidate will have a BS or MS in oceanography, marine physics, ocean engineering, or related field and strong foundations in math, physics, and programming (Matlab, Python etc.). The student will participate in an NSF-funded laboratory study of air-sea interaction to quantify the impact of whitecap foam on momentum transfer. Support will be provided through assistantships in research and teaching (if needed) and includes funds for travel to professional meetings.
