Argonne National Laboratory Fellowships
Categories: Post-Doc/Fellowship
Date: 10/1/2021
Argonne National Laboratory is now accepting applications for two prestigious fellowships. These fellowships provide an opportunity for early career researchers (PhD + 0-3yrs) to conduct cutting edge, independent research aligned with Argonne and DOE missions. Fellows will also have the opportunity to make significant contributions to existing programs. These fellowships provide a way for top talent to launch their careers at Argonne.
Please share these opportunities with your academic and professional networks. The deadline for both fellowships is October 1st. The Maria Goeppert Mayer Fellowship requires sponsorship by an Argonne staff member at the time of application. Walter Massey Fellowship candidates will be matched with sponsors in the appropriate host divisions during the review process. Interested candidates can click on the links below to learn about our research mission areas and find instructions on how to apply.
The Walter Massey Fellowship was established in honor of Argonne’s first Black laboratory director, Dr. Walter Massey, who is a distinguished advocate of equity in science and education.
The Maria Goeppert Mayer Fellowship was established in honor of Maria Goeppert Mayer, one of only four women to win the Nobel Prize in physics for her research conducted while an Argonne nuclear physicist.
Proposals are encouraged from all STEM areas on topics aligned with Argonne strategic mission areas.
