Department of Energy Solar Energy Innovators Program

The Solar Energy Innovators Program is seeking applicants interested in researching innovative solutions to the challenges faced by utilities, energy service providers, and public utilities commissions (PUCs) to adapt to a system with increasing levels of solar and other distributed energy resources. Innovators selected for the program conduct hands-on, practical research and development on-site at a utility, energy service provider, or PUC host institution. The Solar Energy Innovators Program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy (EERE), Solar Energy Technology Office (SETO).
Benefits
Yearly stipend: $40,000 - $70,000+ (based on academic level)
Research/travel allowance: $10,000
Health insurance allowance
Relocation allowance: up to $5,000, if eligible
Applicants Must
Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
Be 18 years old
Have earned a Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree in past 3 years
