At the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI), we are committed to achieving innovative, ground-breaking health and medical research that fundamentally improves the quality of life for all people.
SAHMRI is home to Adelaide’s only medical cyclotron which is located in the Molecular Imaging and Therapy Research Unit (MITRU). MITRU is a TGA licensed GMP manufacturing facility supplying diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals to hospitals and imaging facilties across Australia. MITRU sits within SAHMRI which has over 500 scientists working across four research themes; Women and Kids, Aboriginal Health Equity, Lifelong Health and Presicion Medicine.
A unique and diverse role, you will be responsible for conducting, coordinating and leading cutting edge research to evaluate and advance the translation of novel molecular targets into new radiopharmaceuitcals for evaluation in preclinical and clinical settings. As part of a multi-disciplinary team you will work collaboratively to delivery the project goals and commercial objectives of MITRU. Your strong knowledge of radioisotope and radiopharmaceutical design and production coupled with strong technical leadership and innovation skills as well as excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement will be critical to your success in this role.
