Lecturer Position in Chemistry at University of Tennessee Chattanooga

The Department of Chemistry and Physics at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga College of Arts and Sciences invites applications for a one-year renewable appointment as Lecturer in Chemistry beginning August 1, 2021. The chemistry program at UTC (Chattanooga, TN) is staffed by a twelve-member, tenured/tenure-track faculty and is approved by the American Chemical Society, offering ACS-certified bachelor’s degrees. The program has over 200 majors and is noted for excellence in undergraduate education and research (see http://www.utc.edu/chemistry-physics/).
Teaching responsibilities will include general chemistry lecture and lab, general science, and other areas, depending upon the successful candidate’s specialization (Analytical or Organic Chemistry preferred). Candidates should also be willing to engage in a variety of instructional modalities, including online instruction, and in assisting the UTC campus in its ability to reach additional goals as specified in UTC s Strategic Plan.
