Visiting Professorships in Physics at Illinois Wesleyan University

The Physics Department of Illinois Wesleyan University (IWU) seeks a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor beginning in August 2021 to teach a total of 6 courses distributed across Fall, Spring, and May terms. We seek candidates with enthusiasm for undergraduate teaching in a liberal arts environment and a commitment to creative, inclusive instruction in both lecture and laboratory settings. The successful candidate should be able to teach physics effectively at all levels of the undergraduate curriculum.

IWU is an institution of approximately 1650 students graduating approximately 12 physics majors per year. We have programs in the natural sciences, social sciences, arts, humanities, nursing, and business. The University is located in Bloomington, Illinois, a metropolitan area with a population of approximately 130,000.
