LS-PAC MODELS Center: Call for Mentors and Scholars

The mission of the LS-PAC MODELS Center is to create a successful nationwide model for increasing underrepresented minority (URM) students’ preparation for academic careers through mentoring, professional development, networking, and research. We are a Louis Stokes Regional Center of Excellence funded by the National Science Foundation and housed at LSU.

Our center is currently looking for:
  1. Mentors who are interested in providing academic, social, and career guidance to scholars (undergraduate, graduate, post-doctoral, early-career faculty) who are pursuing academic careers in STEM.
  2. Post-doctoral fellows who would like to receive mentorship and professional development related to academic careers in STEM.
  3. Early-career faculty (individuals employed in a faculty position fewer than 4 years) who would like to receive mentorship and professional development to help build skills during the early years of their academic career.
