Engineering Summer Research Experience at UW-Madison

The College of Engineering at the University of Wisconsin Madison invites applications for the 2020 SURE (Summer Undergraduate Research Experience) program.

Students selected to participate will spend ten weeks conducting interdisciplinary research mentored by College of Engineering faculty. Participants are invited to explore other research available on campus through weekly meetings and faculty seminars, and participate in social activities with current graduate students. The program concludes with a research paper and poster presentation. This year’s program is scheduled from May 26, 2020 (travel day) through August 1, 202020 (travel day). Transportation to/from the program, housing, a food allowance, a $5,000 stipend, and many opportunities to explore area attractions are covered by the program.

Placements begin January 15 with an absolute deadline for receipt of materials by February 15, 2020. Students currently in their junior year or seniors who won’t complete requirements for the Bachelor’s degree before May 2020 are encouraged to apply here.
